Fredrik Clement (born 1972) photographs people in motion, often - but not always - in the world of sports.
His photographs capture the truly meaningful moments during and in between the physical act or display.
Not the finish line or the podium, but rather the body’s journey and a person’s lonely encounter with themselves,
their interaction with nature and landscapes as well as the sense of community that evolves when people share a passion.
Fredrik Clement works commercially for global brands but also spends a large part of his time on personal projects.
He has published the book Sugar, Water, Recovery about professional cycling team Saxo-Tinkoff,
and the book A Field of Opportunities in collaboration with UEFA Foundation and Street Football World,
documenting football programmes in European refugee camps. He now works on
a long-term photographic project about longboard surfing on the west coast of Thy, Denmark.
